Obituaries

John C. Pake, 78, Mandan, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of family Wednesday, September 14, 2022. A Memorial Service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at First Lutheran Church, Mandan with Rev. Phil Leer and Deacon Intern Angie Kutzer officiating. Friends and family gathered one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment was in Bethesda Lutheran Church Cemetery, south of Leith, ND. There was no prayer service the night before, as cremation has taken place.

The Memorial Service for John will be held at 10:00 a.m. MDT Friday, September 23, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Carson with Pastor Bethany Haberstroh, officiating. A luncheon will be served at the Rock Ridge following the service. John’s ashes will be interred at 3:00 p.m. CDT on September 23, 2022 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery south of Mandan, ND with full military honors. A social gathering will be held at the County Seat Lounge in Carson beginning at 4:00 p.m. MDT following the internment.

Dennis L. Roth, age 90 of Elgin, passed away on Thursday September 15, 2022, at Jacobson Memorial Care Center, Elgin, ND. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. MT Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin with Pastor John Amundson, officiating. Burial was held at 3:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday afternoon at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery south of Mandan with full military honors by the Mandan VFW and the George W. Snook American Legion Post #246 of Elgin.
