THE TEAM was escorted through Hettinger and Grant counties by the Mott, New Leipzig, and Elgin Fire Departments, which took turns leading the team through the area on their trip to Minot.

GCMR topples in state qualifier

In their second year of playing as a co-op, the Grant County/Mott-Regent (GCMR) girls basketball team got a second glimpse at the door to the state tournament. But GCMR was denied a dance at the state ball, with a loss in the state qualifier game to Kenmare/Bowbells, 42-60. Their appearance in the state qualifier game put the Jaguars among the top 12 teams in Division B.
