Grant County eighth grade student, Emily Meier received the North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association award along with a monetary award of $75 along with a certificate for her “Happy Herd” Project at the North Dakota State and Engineering Science Fair in Grand Forks April 3-5.

“Lunch Shaming,” is a phrase frequently used since 2019 when it comes to hot school lunches. “I read an article about kids being segregated if they had an outstanding lunch bill where they got peanut butter sandwiches and milk,” says Shelly Seibel.
