Dorothy Wutzke

Dorothy Mutschelknaus Wutzke passed away on November 14, 2021 at Willows Post Acute after a lengthy illness.

She was born December 2, 1937, near the Heart Butte in North Dakota, graduated from Elgin HS in 1956, and attended a session at Dickinson State. She then taught in a rural school north of Heil, ND. She married the love of her life, Adolph Wutzke in 1957. They moved with their three daughters to Willows California in 1963 where she worked as a teacher’s aide. They moved to Yuba City in 1978 where Dorothy became a licensed cosmetologist. She retired with her husband in 1994 and they moved near Oroville dam where they spent many years fishing. They also spent many summers by Hood Canal in Washington - fishing, harvesting seafood, and enjoying their family and friends.

Dorothy was an avid quilter and was involved with her church. She loved spending time watching her grandchildren grow and play sports. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Dorothy leaves behind husband Adolph, daughters Deborah (Lance) Lambert, Carolyn, and Barbara, grandchildren Amanda Lambert, Jason (Breanne) Leube, Kaitlin (Raymond) Vondran, Nathan Leube, Justin Lambert and Chase Lambert, six great grandchildren, sister-in-laws Elaine Mutschelknaus, Dorothy Mutschelknaus and Irma Lowe, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Amelia Mutschelknaus, brothers Clarence Mutschelknaus, Elmer Mitchum, Vernon (Gloria) Mutschelknaus, Roland Mutschelknaus, sister Lorraine (Bruce) Roth, and brother-in-law Carl (Ellen) Wutzke.
