The rescue dummy is lowered from the model grain bin by firefighters training in Mott last month.
The Mott Fire Protection District has purchased tubes that surround someone trapped in a grain bin to evacuate the grain from between the tubes and the person.
Local firefighters were able to practice a grain bin extrication and rescue procedure using new equipment that simulated a real grain bin entrapment.
Hosted by the Mott Volunteer Fire Brigade, the North Dakota Firefighter’s Association (NDFA) arrived in Mott with a mobile unit in October to allow firefighters to train.
