Bulldogs earn 4 th place at Regional Tournament

The Flasher Bulldogs volleyball team went into the Region 5 Tournament as the #4 seed. The Bulldogs pulled off a firstround win against the Underwood Comets and earned the opportunity to move on.

Tuesday, Nov. 6, the Bulldogs faced off against the #1 seed, Center/Stanton. “We had made a few particular adjustments to our blocks and it was so successful,” said Head Coach Jerlyn Gabrielson. “This was the best we have played all season. The girls communicated well and played with such intensity. We really stuck to our game plan and weren’t intimidated. I am so proud of the way the girls played,” she added. It has been a few years since the Bulldogs hadve made it past the first round in the tournament, so this was special for this team. Center/Stanton pulled off the 3-1 (24-26, 25-23, 25-21, 25-21) win to move on to the championship round. The Bulldogs advanced for the final evening of the tournament, to play for third/fourth place.
