Underdogs UPSET Outlaws

They are a small team made up of young men from several small towns. At the beginning of the season, nobody gave the Grant County-Flasher Storm a second look. Things have changed – everyone is looking in their direction now.

The "Underdogs" as they have been nicknamed, are making a name for themselves. With a 7-2 record, the latest accolades for the Storm have been defeating both the #1 seed from Region 4 (Linton) and the #1 seed from Region 3 (Ray/Powers Lake).

Saturday, the Storm went up against the #1 seed from Region 3, the Ray/Powers Lake "Outlaws" in the first round of the state playoffs. On the cold, blustery day, the Storm made the win look easy. "They just didn't prepare for us like they should have. They were confident they were going to beat us – it felt great to upset the #1 seed," explained Sophomore Jace Friesz.
