Snowstorm whips through North Dakota
North Dakotans were nervous last week as weather forecasters were anticipating snow by the foot.
Thursday, our local communities woke up to snow and ice blanketing the ground. Temperatures in the 20s, high winds and continuous snowfall caused school closings, and poor travel conditions.
Grant County Emergency Services and 9-1-1 Coordinator, Patrick Diehl reported six to twelve inches of snowfall across the west river area.
The northeastern portion of the state received the most snowfall, as the Grand Forks Air Force base reported 17.4 inches.
