Rivinius places second at State Spelling Bee
The results are in from the 2018 North Dakota State Spelling Bee which took place in Bismarck on March 26.
Halle Rivinius, representing Grant County, took second place. Halle was also one of three students recognized for achieving a Perfect Score on the spelling words portion of the written test. She is an eighth grade student at Grant County Junior High School in Elgin and is the daughter of Ryan and Carey Rivinius of Carson.
Tobi Shorunke was declared the 2018 State Champion in the 14th round with the winning word of “millibars.” Tobi represented Cass County at the State Spelling Bee and is in the eighth grade at Ben Franklin Middle School in Fargo.
