Hettinger County early harvest nearly complete
Harvest of small grains and other crops such as canola in Hettinger County is nearly complete, with a wide variety of yields being reported, shared Duaine Marxen, the Hettinger County agent with the North Dakota State University Extension Service.
“The small grains have been very good. Good protein, good weight,” he said.
Wheat yields have ranged from 25 to 60 bushels an acre, while canola is yielding at 2,700 to 3,000 pounds per acre, on average, in the county.
