Flasher students competing to win golden buckle
Since Febuary, more than 7,000 entrants from 38 states and four countries have attempted to qualify for the Junior NFR, which runs concurrently with the National Finals Rodeo.
About 700 of these athletes made the cut and will compete for gold buckles in eight events, each with varying age groups.
The Junior NFR is a relatively new event, starting only three years ago. For the first year ever a qualifier was held in South Dakota, where Jason Weinberger , age 11, Hayes Weinberger, age 9 and Brody Froelich, age 11 qualified for the Junior National Finals in Las Vegas. Which are being held Dec 6th – 10th .
