Two talented young photographers are focusing their cameras on the future, as they turn a hobby into a business.

Kassidy Haase, 15, New Leipzig, and Merissa Meyer, 16, Morristown, S.D., both shifted an interest in photography as a 4-H project into photography businesses, capturing special memories for area families.

“I’ve always been taking pictures since I was 10 years old with 4-H. I would take pictures during the summer and show them in the fair,” Merissa says. Kassidy, too, began taking photos as a young 4-H Cloverbud member.

Last summer, both began a journey into professional photography.
