Science Fair plants the seeds of curiosity

From fighting bacteria to growing an aquaponic garden, Elgin/New Leipzig School District students researched, documented, then nervously stood by their results during the Feb. 21 science fair in Elgin. Students in grades 5-10 are required to create a science project for the local fair, while it’s optional for juniors and seniors.
