Grant County taxable sales show slight decrease
Grant County reported a slight decrease in taxable sales in the Third Quarter 2020 North Dakota Sales and Use Tax Statistical Report released by the N.D. Office of the State Tax Commissioner, with a decrease of 3.63 percent compared to the third quarter of 2019.
During July, August and September 2020, Grant County reported $3,064,690 in taxable sales, compared to $3,180,126 in the third quarter of 2019.
Grant County had reported the largest percent increase in taxable sales in North Dakota in the second quarter of 2020. In the second quarter of 2020, Grant County reported $2,982,364 in taxable sales, compared to $2,348,629 in the second quarter of 2019. That was a 26.98 percent increase from second quarter 2019 to second quarter 2020.
North Dakota overall showed a 19.5 percent decrease in the third quarter 2020 compared to third quarter 2019. Twenty-six of North Dakota’s 53 counties reported positive gains in the third quarter 2020 compared to third quarter 2019.
