I cried. I cried Wednesday morning January 6 when I watched the violent siege of the U.S. Capitol by mobs hoping to overturn the Electoral votes being counted by our congress. Five people died. Inside the Capitol offices were ransacked, furniture broken, items stolen. The world was stunned as our traditional peaceful transfer of power was threatened. When help finally came and Congress was back in order, even then 138 Republicans still voted their objection to the Electoral votes. At the end of my column I always say “don’t forget to pray for our nation.” This isn’t just a closing, it’s a plea for Christians to implore our Father to guide and bless our Nation. It’s easy. Just bow your head, fold your hands and talk to Him.
