Carson News

Lois Stewart Balliet

Carson Roosevelt Public school put on a public performance last week honoring our Veterans. Word on the street it was entertaining and very well done. Thanks to all involved.

Other good news, I watched the take-off of our four Astronauts from Kennedy Space Station in Florida on Sunday afternoon. Four guys and a gal heading for the International Space Station for six months. It was projected to only take 24 hours to get there.

On the down side, national news reported one million new cases of COVID-19 in one week in the U.S. This third wave is more dangerous. The U.S. has more cases per capita than any other country. N.D. finally mandated wearing masks. Our whole state is in the highest risk category. N.D. has only 20 ICU beds.

Didn’t get to watch the Philadelphia Eagles (Carson Wentz) game against the New York Giants on Sunday. We lost, 17-27. #!^-*#! Next week they play at Cleveland.
