In a historic moment, Dr. Elizabeth Sundberg was one of the first staff at Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center (JMHCC) to receive a vaccine for COVID-19 on Wednesday morning, Dec. 30.

When Oscar and Scout trot down the hallway, they are greeted like rock stars. A dapple miniature dachshund, Oscar is a regular visitor at Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center (JMHCC). And now Scout, an English springer spaniel, is also visiting once a month.

Celebrate Christmas at Immanuel

Immanuel – God with us! The light shines in the darkness and the darkness shall not overcome it. All are invited to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior at our traditional Candlelight Worship Service at Immanuel Lutheran Church-AFLC in New Leipzig will be held on Christmas Eve at 7 PM. Our service closes in candlelight and the singing of Silent Night with the last verse in German. We also invite you to join us on Christmas morning for worship at 9 AM. We are practicing social distancing and face masks are required.
